Agritourism is a style of vacation in which hospitality is offered on farms. This may include the opportunity to assist with farming tasks during the visit. Agritourism is often practiced in wine growing regions, as in Italy, France and Spain. This site is a directory of Agritourisms in Europe where you can contact the owners directly.
Generally, services offered by Agritourisms in Europe can be divided into four main areas: Firstly, accommodations such as bed and breakfast and vacation farms. Secondly, tours associated with production or value-added processing (e.g. wineries, dairy operations) or scenic environments (e.g. botanical gardens, herb farms). These tours may be delivered by outside agencies or on-site farm operators. Museo e Chiostri Monumentali di Santa Maria Novella - Firenze in Toscana
Annesso alla chiesa, costruita a partire dal 1340 ca. da Fra’ Sisto e Fra’ Ristoro, il complesso monumentale dei chiostri è uno dei più begli esempi di architettura gotica italiana. Il primo che incontriamo entrando dal portale di fianco all’ingresso della chiesa, è il Chiostro Verde: di proporzioni robuste ma armoniche, deve il suo nome agli affreschi che lo decorano, eseguiti in terra verde, ai quali lavorò tra altri artisti della prima metà del Quattrocento, Paolo Uccello (1397-1475) uno dei maestri più importanti del primo Rinascimento fiorentino che qui ha lasciato alcune delle sue opere più significative come il Diluvio Universale e il Sacrificio di Noè.
Nel chiostro si apre il Refettorio (e di qui l’accesso al Chiostro Grande decorato alla fine del Cinquecento), e il Cappellone degli Spagnoli, l’antica sala capitolare del secolo XIV che deve la sua denominazione al fatto che nel secolo XVI vi si riunivano gli spagnoli al seguito di Eleonora di Toledo, moglie di Cosimo I de’ ...
