Agritourism is a style of vacation in which hospitality is offered on farms. This may include the opportunity to assist with farming tasks during the visit. Agritourism is often practiced in wine growing regions, as in Italy, France and Spain. This site is a directory of Agritourisms in Europe where you can contact the owners directly.
Generally, services offered by Agritourisms in Europe can be divided into four main areas: Firstly, accommodations such as bed and breakfast and vacation farms. Secondly, tours associated with production or value-added processing (e.g. wineries, dairy operations) or scenic environments (e.g. botanical gardens, herb farms). These tours may be delivered by outside agencies or on-site farm operators. Thirdly, retail sales associated with local produce and farm-processed products at their farm gate, u-pick fields and orchards, off-site produced gifts, crafts and baked goods. And Lastly, leisure/recreation activities associated with gardening, hiking, horseback riding, etc.

Itinerari: arte e fede - Firenze in Toscana
Partendo da Firenze imboccata via Bolognese (strada statale n. 65 della Futa) - antica via tra Firenze e Bologna su cui sorsero ville, castelli e molti "spedali" per pellegrini e viandanti - si giunge, passati gli abitati di Pian di San Bartolo e Montorsoli e dopo aver costeggiato lo splendido e storico parco della Villa Demidoff, a Pratolino. Si prende a destra la via di Bivigliano e dopo circa 500 mt. a sinistra si trova la quattrocentesca Pieve di San Cresci a Macioli con campanile romanico. La facciata ha una graziosa cornice di coronamento in mattoni e la porta in pietra con ricche decorazioni in stile dorico. I restauri quattrocenteschi sono dovuti al Pievano Arlotto, famoso per le sue burle.
A Bivigliano in posizione panoramica è l’antica chiesa romanica di S. Romolo già esistente prima dell’anno 1000. Conserva nell’abside una pala d’altare di terracotta invetriata di Andrea della Robbia e in una nicchia presso il fonte battesimale una statua lignea di San Giovanni Battista ... Read More...
